When An An cried real hard...

In fact, i should say he seldom cries since newborn. He is a boy with few tears. BUT, he loves to fake cries alot! When we scold him for his naughty acts, he likes to pout his mouth and make those fake crying sounds. Really cant stand him! And when he really very sad, his tears just pouring down uncontrollably like this. I simply love his crying expressions, isn't it cute? Hee..

Curtains can be so fun!

I wonder why An An loves to play with curtain so much! Or is it every kids at this age has the same fascination?

Music Together

On 4 December (Sat), An An started his 1st music class at Music Together, we decided to enrol him after a trial class as i love the atmosphere and how the class is conducted, teachers are engaging as well, great songs and nice mix of classmates. I noticed he's quite musically inclined, he loves to move with beats, "sing" songs and he's good at remembering lyrics. Music can always calm him down and brighten up his mood :)

He was abit shy at the beginning, sat on my lap and observing others intensely. On and off he would turned and looked at me, i would return with a smile and hug to ensure that i am always here with him and we are in a very safe environment. It didn't take too long for him to warm up and he started to move around, dance with the song and even tap his feet with the rhythm!

The fee is 1100 renminbi for 10 classes, and this including some home materials for us to practice at home. He loves the songs so much and would request me to play it everyday for him. Especially the "Hello Everybody, it's nice to see you..." "Sleep sleep sleep in the car..." He will "sing" with actions. Totally enjoying it! :)

Bye bye 奶嘴

An An had successfully weaned off pacifier on his 18th month! (same timing as Gor Gor). YEAH!

To me, this is one of his big milestones as he does not need to rely on dummy for his noon nap and night time sleep. I am so proud of him. We did try to wean him off last month but to no avail as he was teething and drooling badly then, and the biting sensation on his pacifier must have offer great degree of comfort and satisfaction for him, hence we postpone the plan till now.

It was rather a smooth and easy process, though there were quite some tossing and turning on bed, grumbling and mumbling for a long 15minutes before he finally dozed off, and not forgetting some midnight waking-ups cranky moments. But it seems that he had overcome all these, and he self-sooth to sleep pretty fast now and without much fussiness.

Actually the biggest motivation for me to wean him off now is because he has been biting and destroying his pacifiers! Look at what he had done:

I have been replacing his pacifier WEEKLY. And it add up to quite a sum monthly. Okay baby, time to say bye bye to your 奶嘴, you are indeed a big boy now. Look at your size! What's next then? Potty-training? Yes, i certainly cant wait for this as it will be a hefty saving for me!
