Viral infection again...

Zq was attacked by this and hospitalised at Mt Alvernia again...

It's was his wheezing sound that made us so worried, and his total rejection of milk (lucky he still took some porridge & cereal). I noticed his slight cough on Tuesday night and his cough get worsen on Wednesday, so we brought him to Pantai Medical Centre @ KL for PD visit. Though this hospital is considered the more specialised one here, but both Dear and me were not that confident with the PD we visited, we thought that his facilities were rather run down and my biggest concern is the way they store the med, and how the nurse handled & dispensed the medicine turned me off and i doubt i will ever visit this clinic again...

We did not want to take this lightly, so we set off to Singapore on Thursday morning as we wanted to visit Dr Terence Tan, baby's usual PD. The journey back home seemed longer than ever to me, i was rather panic and worried as Zq still rejected milk and water throughout the journey... We reached Dr Tan's clinic about 3pm, he commented that baby was gasping for breathe as his breathway was congested, so we immediately put him on nebuliser. Condition improved abit upon this, so Dr asked us to go home and monitor him for the night, if things turned worse, we shall admit him tomorrow morning.

Things not getting any better, he still rejected all the milk & water. So we brought him to Mt A. early on the morning and Dr noticed early signs of dehydration. Baby was admitted and put on drip. Actually i was more relieved now, at least i knew that the drip helped to keep him hydrate though the poking of needles onto his little hand was painful...

He was back to his usual cheeky and active self again! Crusing on the bed, pulling every tubes he can reach, jumping on the bed, smiling at all the nurses and even played peekaboo with them... He was so popular here, the nurses would just popped by to see and play with him, many of them commented on his charming smile... This little boy did not look sick at all! :p

Dear bought him a tricycle from Kiddy Palace to make his hospital stays happier! And we let him ride on this while mummy pushing the tricycle handle and daddy pushing the drip stand! Haa, what a sight :p

Thanks to Aunty Alice for the visit and the super BIG MICKEY! It definately cheered him up! I was so touched with your visit... Really lucky to have a super nice and sincere friend like you, you made my day too :)

Zq was discharged after 2 days stay as his wheezing had subsided, though he still drank very little milk... We wondered where his energy came from since he ate so little but yet still so active! Anyway, we were so glad that he discharged and back to home again...

* Zq, mama hope that you will get stronger after all these ordeals... You are a little warrior i know, just like what Aunty Alice said... Mama will do my best to protect you and give you the best in life... And that's my forever love...

Mr Photogenic

I sent in 2 different photos of Ziqian to Mother & Baby and Young Parents Magazine, and both were selected and published in their September issues :)

And he had won himself a Takara Tomy Pop To The Rescue Toy from Young Parents! This present is very appropriate for him coz there are 3 cars and he LOVES cars & wheels! :)

I will keep the magazines and show it to him when he knows how to appreciate this... I think it's a wonderful keepsake for him as part of his growing up... Meanwhile, enjoy the toy my dear!

* Thanks & muacks muacks muacks to Aunty Cherie for the magazines! :)

Haircut @ Junior League

His fringe was getting longer and the sides of his hair are getting too messy to manage as well... I didn't dare to trim his hair myself again judging from my lousy skill last time round. Dear and my mum had also urged me to bring him to a "professional" for a trim so we headed to Junior League @ United Sq after the Oct babies birthday bash.

He was still blur blur initially and observed his surrounding curiously. Not long after, he seemed to now that we were going to cut his beautiful hair and started to fuss around. The Hi-Five screen in front of him, the toys, my funny faces and "consolations" all failed to please him.

I told the lady that i only wanted to trim his fringe shorter and not cut it SHORT. But too late, he looked like "ah wang" again... I really hope his fringe will grow longer sooner, so he will be as handsome on his birthday party!

* Evidences showing him getting impatient to upset :p

October Babies Birthday Bash

* Thanks Alice for the photos! They are absolutely lovely & well-taken! :)

Thanks all mummies for making this party a possible one! Especially thanks to Serene, Alice and Cherie for organising, photographing and emceeing!

And thanks to Dear for all the patience and taking care of babies throughout the event without a word of grumble though i know you don't really enjoy stuff like this :p

Time flies! Just a year ago, we still chatted on SMH forum on all the pregnancy thingy, all the discomfort and inconvenience of pregnancy, all the buying of stuff to prepare for the arrival of our little ones, all the gender guessing and naming etc... And now, our babies are reaching their 1 year old milestone in no time! Though i will still grumble about the naughty act of Zq on and off, but the joy and happiness he bring along in the past year is so so so much! And our loves towards each other just getting more and more intense! I love you Ziqian! Mama loves you forever! Muacks! :)

Flying... Just baby and me

Back home today for the weekend! (after a 2 weeks stay at KL)

Dear drove back as we need the car in Singapore, so baby and me took the flight home. I had been looking forward to this for long, though rather nervous and kind of worried i couldn't handle baby myself on plane initially...

So happy that everything turned out very smooth & fine! Dear drove us to the LCC of KL, and we had our breakfast there. Baby not having his usual cereal breakfast coz it was rather tedious to prepare it there, so he had a slice of bread & half a banana, hope it was enough for his stomach till we reach Singapore for his proper lunch! :)

With baby put in my Bjorn carrier, we said byebye to Dear and i walked into the Gate. This was when i started to feel nervous again coz now only left baby and me and the KL LCC was not really that clean/ safe compared to Singapore Budget Terminal. Baby and me waited about 30mins before we boarded the plane. And we certainly caught lots of attention and i thought it was unavoidable - a woman alone with her baby in a carrier and a heavy diaper bag.

We were lucky to have the whole stretch (3 seats) for us. So i put my diaper bag on left and my carrier on right. Haa!

It was baby's morning nap time (10am), so he dozed off even before the flight took off! And slept till the flight touched down. I had to wake him up coz he was still in deep sleep and he was very annoyed and cried out loud! Again, we caught everyone attention.

It was rather difficult for me to put on my carrier, as i could not let baby sit by himself beside me, he started to climb up the chair, touch here and there and it was too dangerous. So i approached an air stewardess and she helped me to carry baby for a while. This little boy really cheeky, he flashed his brightest smile to her once she carried him! :p

A very "stone" look coz just woke up from nap :p

Fed his porridge (which i cooked 6am in the morning and kept it in his thermal jar ... yawn...) at the Burger King of T1 . He was in very good mood, kept smiling at the lady next table, her boyfriend was so amused by him and asked baby "You wana snatch my girlfriend away from me huh?" Haa! Coz baby only smiled at the lady and not the guy! :p

Playing with receipt... Only was to keep him occupied while i have a quick bite of my lunch! :p

After our lunch, we took a taxi home and i started to miss Dear... Sms him and surprised to know that he reached JB already. Yeah! We can "reunite" at our home sweet home soon... :)

Nursery Rhymes

Ziqian starts to get sick of the only few nursery rhymes that i know... His favourites list change again and im now trying hard to memorize all these lyrics...

Here the list & lyrics go... :

1) Itsy Bitsy Spider
Itsy Bitsy spider climbing up the spout

Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
Now Itsy Bitsy spider went up the spout again!

(The easiest! :p)

2) Six Little Ducks
Six little ducks that I once knew

Fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones too
But the one little duck with the feather on her back
She led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack
She led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Well down to the river they did go

Wibble wobble, wibble wobble, ho ho ho
But the one little duck with the feather on her back
She led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack
She led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Well home from the river they did come

Wibble wobble, wibble wobble, ho hum hum
But the one little duck with the feather on his back
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack
He led the others with a quack, quack, quack

(The most action-packed!)

3) The farmer in the Dell
The farmer in the dell

The farmer in the dell
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The farmer in the dell

The farmer takes a wife
The farmer takes a wife
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The farmer takes a wife

The wife takes a child
The wife takes a child
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The wife takes a child

The child takes a nurse
The child takes a nurse
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The child takes a nurse

The nurse takes a cow
The nurse takes a cow
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The nurse takes a cow

The cow takes a dog
The cow takes a dog
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The cow takes a dog

The dog takes a cat
The dog takes a cat
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The dog takes a cat

The cat takes a rat
The cat takes a rat
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The cat takes a rat

The rat takes the cheese
The rat takes the cheese
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The rat takes the cheese

The cheese stands alone
The cheese stands alone
Hi-ho, the derry-o
The cheese stands alone

(The longeeeest...)

4) Skidamarink
Skidamarink a dink a dink,Skidamarink a doo,I love you.

Skidamarink a dink a dink,Skidamarink a doo,I love you.
I love you in the morning and in the afternoon, I love you in the evening and underneath the moon;
Oh, Skidamarink a dink a dink,Skidamarink a doo,I love you!

(The most tongue-twitching...)

His 1st class at Julia Gabriel- Kuala Lumpur

This is the 1st lesson of a new term (Term 4) and this is the longest term of the year as it consists 12 weeks rather than the normal 10 weeks.

Dear took half day leave today to bring us there and support Ziqian! :)

The class size is relatively small as there are only 6 babies/ toddlers in the class (ranging from 8month old to 14month old) which is a good age range.

Ziqian was very friendly to other babies, he crawled towards them and played together, passing toys to others. And he was also very participative, he was so funny during the "music box" time as he pulled to stand and supported himself on the box and didn't allow others to open it! Haa..

We enjoyed ourself tremendously. The teachers are good & very attentive, the environment is nice especially the outdoor garden, it is so spacious & beautiful. I believe Ziqian had a good time also coz he was always flashing his cheerful beaming smile! Due to a smaller class size, we had more interaction with the teachers compared to our class @ JG - Forum.

I really look forward to all the coming classes!

* Now gonna find a reliable taxi driver and book his service so he can ferry us to and fro the class.
