Finally i tendered my resignation letter today.

After almost a year of no pay leave, it's time for me to say goodbye. Had been working there for 8 years, so it was in fact rather hard for me to leave... But due to the fact that Dear is going to relocate oversea for work, and im now pregnant with my xiao baobei, and also i cant bear to part with Zq and going back to workforce. So, i decided to put a halt to my career and dedicated all my effort and time to my family, especially these first few years of my 2 baobei... I want to be by their sides, taking care of them, teaching them, instilling good manners, positive thinkings and behaviours on them. This is my greatest resolution for the coming years.

Many ups and downs within these 8 years but i never regretted working there. I had made some good frens who i will treasure our friendship forever... Thank you Avril, Angeline, Connie, Jolene, Shellin, Christine, Kim Thoe, Sam Yan, Janet, Liz, Janice and many more.. for making my life @ office such a colourful and memorable one... I miss you all, pls take care and we must always keep in touch ya... Love you all...

Amateur driver

My handsome boy!

We brought Zq to take his Visa application photo for our Beijing relocation. He definately had a fun time! Coz i was kneeling down beside him to hold him so he can sit on the chair well, and Dear had to be a "monkey" making funny faces to make him focus on the camera and smile. In fact, there were a few "monkeys" at the scene, a few of the staff also joined in Dear to make this little boy smile! haa...

Skin Prick Test

We were referred to consult a Children Allergy Specialist @ NUH for Zq's asthma management and egg allergy issue. Though his condition is much better now and we also read up lots on the prevention of it, but we wana make sure everything is well controlled and we has do our best to protect and taking care of him. So we visited Dr Lynette Shek @ NUH for a skin prick test and analysis to find out what are the allergens to trigger his asthma and whether did he really have egg allergy.

A total of 13 allergens were tested on Zq's left hand, he was struggling so hard that the nurse had difficulty conducting the test. She put 13 different solutions on his hands and scrapped bit of tissue for every allergens to send for testing. And meanwhile, we need to monitor his reactions on these. About 5 mins later, i noticed 2 small red bumps (just like mosquitoes bites) on his hand. The nurse then explained to me the 1st bump was expected as it proved that this test was positive, and the 2nd bump was his allergy to a certain dustmite, but the bump was considered very small at 0.5cm so which means his reaction towards it was still mild.

The test report was out pretty fast in just 20mins. Doc Lynette explained to us Zq did not have egg allergy at all! And he was not allergy to pollen, grass, peanut and many other high allergenic stuff as well! So glad to know this! And she urged me to try him on eggs again which im more than happy to do so :)

This is my best Xmas and New Year gift! :)

As not easy for all us to gather around, with my sis & family stays at Perth, my family gonna relocate to Beijing soon and papa mama staying at JB...

I really love this photo... Especially the gentle smile on papa mama's faces... Each cuddling to one of their grandchild and enjoying the bubble blew by Dear...

I will sure miss my parents badly when we going off next Feb... And im already teary now...

Since Zq is no longer a baby and had turned into a toddler = children, so we decide to bring him to a place especially design for children... So here we come, Jacob Ballas Children's Garden @ Botanical Garden! Haa :)

冬至

Today is 冬至, one of my favourite festive of the year. As it is a meaningful festive, a time for the family to get together, making and eating of 湯圓together.

Though this is the 2nd time we celebrated this festive as a family, but this time round is much more fun as Zq joins in the action of tangyuan making!

14th month

Zq is 14th month old today!

He is getting more and more active and zapping up all my energy, but he never fails to give me little surprises everyday as well... I really love him so so much, though he makes me so tired everyday but he is my daily energy booster as well (contradicting mummy ya.. :p)

Some of the things he likes to do nowadays - - -

- understands & do the following actions: flying kiss, "scared scared", "shang nao jing", clap hands, wave bye bye, kiss me on lips (this sweet boy only kiss me on lips but not other ppl, they will only get a peck on cheeks! hee)
- pointed to his body parts when asked: eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, fingers
- he will "stick" to either of us when he see us dressed up (coz he knows it's "gai gai" time! :p)
- he likes to walk around the house non-stop, my mama is very impressed by his stamina!
- his dancing skills have been "upgraded" from his usual "zhao chai mao" and "windscreen wiper" to "shake head dance" haa!

Shopping Day!

Xmas = holiday mood = shopping mood! :)

We went to the Lok Yang Toyfair in the morning and bought some toys for Zq. Damage this time was mnimal as nothing much fanciful and due to our relocation soon, i cant buy lots as we already have many stuff to bring over :p

Then we went to Toy R Us and got him a BIG Xmas present! It's all wrapped up and waiting for him to unwrap on the Xmas day! So looking forward to it! :)

Why kor kor run away?


No one play wi me...

While waiting my mama to prepare Zq's dinner, i decided to bring him down to playground downstair for a stroll since the weather was good :)

As usual, i let him sit in his blue "mercedes" with very loud music which he likes to press once he is in it. Once we were at the playground, this little boy was struggled to come out from his car and wana walk around. He had a great fun exploring and observing what the elder kids were playing, he patted the shoulder of a little boy and seems like he wanted to join in the fun, but sadly the gang moved away soon as i guessed Zq was too young to be "qualified" in their games... haa!

Walking!

He finally walks unassisted and quite steadily at his 13.5mth old. Fun to see him walk around the house and explore around but which means more work on me to keep everything dangerous away from him!

However, i forbid him to go into kitchen and toilets all the while even when he crawled. But this naughty boy will always walk to the kitchen doorstep, slow down his paces and look at me, then squats down and pushes his toys further and further into the kitchen. And then pretend to walk into the kitchen to retrieve his toy! Lucky i "caught" him all the time! Haa...

T3

We had a review at Dr Tan's clinic this morning. Very happy that Zq's had fully recovered! However, he needs to be on an inhaler on a daily basis for a few months to control and prevent his asthma attack. It is much easier to use and less daunting comparing to the nebuliser machine as it is silent and quick. Hope everything will be better and he will react well to this new treatment!

When hubby flied back from Beijing last week, he noticed there were quite some Mickey & Friends deco display at T3, and Zq's fav cartoon has been Mickey so here we go!

Once he saw Mickey & friends, he smiled so sweetly at them... :)

I cant control him at all! He didn't allow me to carry coz he wants to walk!

"Papa, i want to fly too.........."

Papa said: "Okay, pls check him in... :p"

So happy over the selections of toys!

Getting excited and pulled down whatever soft toys he could grab! Gonna evacuate from the crime scene immediately!

Playing at the indoor playground

Bringing him out is a challenging task now coz he couldn't stay quiet for a minute. He will struggle at him pram and our arms, just to wriggle his way down as he wants to walk! But this little boy have yet to master the skill yet so is walking like a drunken all over the place... *Headache*
